Grayson Allen has a history. It’s not all positive, and Wednesday night in Elon didn’t help. The Duke guard was guarding Steven Santa Ana when he drew a technical foul for tripping the Elon guard as he was driving to the basket. Following the foul, Elon closed out the half on an 11-2 run to narrow the gap to 35-34 at the break.Grayson Allen out here kicking people Draymond Green style. pic.twitter.com/Qtbp6Slk6v— Kyle Boone (@kylebooneCBS) December 21, 2016

Allen didn’t return to the game during the first half, which wasn’t much of a loss. He was shooting 1-of-6 from the floor with one 3-pointer to account for three points, three rebounds and three fouls. This is the third such occasion where Allen has been called for tripping an opposing player, but the first time outside of ACC play. Former Duke greats also reacted to Allen’s foul and subsequent reaction following the incident.
